South African student Elsie Sophia Bronkhors is studying the Chinese language at the Beijing Language and Culture University.
Having been living in Beijing for four years, she says she enjoys living in the city with her husband and one-year-old boy as it "feels like home."
Bronkhors also says, by living in Beijing, her son would have the chance to learn about different cultures and speaks another language. That's why she and her husband plan to raise him here.
Prior to the upcoming 14th BRICS summit, Bronkhors says she has high expectations of BRICS to improve education and help people have a broader spectrum about life.
