Even if you are already familiar with videos of Chinese square dancing, this Tibetan routine could be new to you. Guozhuang means "singing and dancing in a circle" in Tibetan, and it's a kind of folk dance. Now it is danced in public places as a way for people to relax and exercise after supper.
Unlike the common Chinese square dancing, which is popular with middle-aged and retired women, Guozhuang dancers are of all ages and genders. When dancing, they create a circle and move clockwise, swinging and shaking their arms.
