We take you to the mouth of the Yangtze River to visit the Shanghai Chongming Dongtan National Nature Reserve.The wetland covers an area of 240 square kilometers, protecting migratory birds and biodiversity. It has recorded 290 species of birds, 59 species of fish, 10 species of mammals, and 16 species of amphibians and reptiles. Efforts to restore biodiversity in the past two decades include controlling overfishing and invasive plants, and building a long sea wall to improve the habitat for migrating birds.
