At the beginning of his career, Liu overcame many difficulties including his parents's negative attitude towards his working on a farm and his lack of necessary skills. But he said, "As long as I can turn what I like into a career and keep passionate about it, I believe I can see achievements." To gain more skills, he learned drawing and the use of three-dimensional softwares and became a competent designer.
Liu's efforts have paid off. The farm received about 350,000 tourists in 2020 with an annual income of 12.5 million yuan (about 1.94 million U.S. dollars). It also created 200 jobs and effectively helped villagers increase income.
