In Yongtai County of Fuzhou City, east China's Fujian Province, craftsman Xie Shiyang has managed to add a modern touch to the traditional skill of bamboo weaving. In his hands, a QR code is not generated by a software, but by his bamboo strips. Xie, in his 60s, has started to create bamboo QR codes since 2018. Now it only takes Xie less than one hour to complete a code. He has received orders from many companies.
